Want to be an initiator of change for the future of Kansas City? There are opportunities all around the city to help our kids achieve 3rd grade reading proficiency. Help young readers practice their literacy skills, and learn new ones, by engaging with them on a one-on-one basis. Want to volunteer over your lunch hour? How about after work? More interested in a one-time event? Great! There are many opportunities to fit your interests and schedule. Please contact Jordan Frazier if you have any questions or would like to add a volunteer opportunity to the list below. jfrazier@turnthepagekc.org

Lead to Read KC. Lead to Read connects trusted, caring adult volunteers (called Readers) with kids in grades 1 through 4 from every walk of life. Once a week, for 30 minutes, Readers and kids explore the world by reading books provided by the children’s teachers, in the safety and security of an elementary school classroom. click-here-to-signup
